System-on-Module (SoM)

A system-on-module (SoM) is a compact board that packages a processor, memory, storage, and I/O into a single unit, designed to be mounted onto a larger carrier board rather than built from discrete parts. SoMs let hardware makers add AI compute — such as NVIDIA Jetson or Qualcomm modules — to robots, cameras, and industrial equipment without designing a chip from scratch. This hub tracks the AI-capable SoMs powering edge and embedded devices, and the companies building them.
