Cognizant has reached Global Premier Partner status in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network, the two companies said on July 27, deepening a partnership that began in late 2025.
Global Premier sits atop the three-tier Services Track that Anthropic introduced on June 3, 2026. According to Anthropic, reaching it requires at least 1,000 certified Claude practitioners active within the past 90 days, at least 100 joint customers running Claude in production across three or more regions, at least 15 published customer stories, and a joint business plan with named executive sponsors from both firms. Anthropic says it re-checks standing quarterly.
Training thousands of staff
Cognizant said more than 30,000 of its associates have completed Claude training so far, part of a push toward 5,000 “Frontier Certified Engineers” and 10,000 “Frontier Business Operators” across a workforce of roughly 350,000. Rather than treating Claude as an add-on tool, the company is building it directly into its own enterprise AI platforms — Flowsource, Neuro AI Engineering and Neuro IT Ops.
Early results cited
The companies pointed to several live deployments. A manufacturing client received an AI-driven customer-experience portal within six months. A life-sciences client’s Claude-based contract-review system cut review time by up to 40% while lifting extraction accuracy above 88%. An insurance client’s risk-navigation tool reportedly turned hours of manual research into about a minute of work, saving underwriters roughly eight hours a week.
Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S said “AI capability is rising faster than enterprises can absorb it, and that gap is the defining problem of this moment.” Anthropic co-founder and president Daniela Amodei said Cognizant is bringing Claude “into the everyday work” of some of the most demanding regulated industries.
The expansion is one of several top-tier services partnerships Anthropic has struck this year as it competes with Microsoft’s and OpenAI’s reseller networks for enterprise AI budgets. Other large employers have taken similar routes to production Claude use: California rolled Claude out across its state government, while engineering firm UST used it to cut chip validation time by more than half.
